Read-A-Thon 2022

Let's Get Reading with our annual Read-A-Thon!

From February 1-March 4, Clinton will be reading with a purpose! Students can log their reading time, ask for sponsors, and answer questions about what they've read. They can even like or comment on books their friends are reading!

All of the proceeds go to the Clinton PTA. We use the funds for awesome things like field trips & assemblies (stay tuned in the spring!), community events like our Pumpkin Patch and Spring Fair, and to help teachers supply their classrooms.

Please note that this program only allows one parent email per student, so we just took the first one on the list from the school roster. We apologize if this isn't the correct email or if it causes confusion. We are happy to share your student's login information if you don't receive it by February 1–just send an email to liz.gordon@clintonelementary.org Thanks for your understanding!

Last year, we blew our reading and fundraising goals out of the water! We earned nearly $10K and read over 200,000 minutes! What can we do this year!

Clinton Equity & Inclusion Committee Kickoff Meeting

Hello Clinton Parents!

We are starting an Equity & Inclusion committee of parents for our school community. And our first general interest kickoff meeting will be:

Because the work on building community and prioritizing equity is ongoing, the goal is to make this committee a regular space to bring up, discuss and work on equity and inclusion in our school and celebrate the diversity of our community.

All parents are welcome, and parents of color are specifically encouraged to attend. We will:

ASK QUESTIONS - What are your thoughts on diversity and equity in our school community - families, teachers, staff, curriculum? What's working and what could we work on?

CREATE A SPACE - This will be a parent-led space for equity and inclusion conversations, and a chance to offer your input and talent outside of our general PTA meetings.

BUILD COMMUNITY - Let's get to know each other. The pandemic has made it tough to gather with other Clinton families. We're hoping to offer regular meetings and foster a welcoming community of parents.

Picture Retake Day

Clinton School Picture Make Up/Retake Day

Hi Clinton Families!

Picture Make Up/ Retake Day is scheduled for Friday, November 19th. Any student that was absent during Picture Day or would like a retake can have their photo taken on 11/19. If you’d like your student to have their photos taken on the 19th, please send an email by Wednesday, November 17th to hi@iamacamera.net with your student’s name and teacher information. Only those that send an email by November 17th will be allowed a retake/absent photo, to ensure that we can give the school an accurate count. All photos are taken outside.

For those that were absent on Photo Day, a card will be sent home with your student on instructions to view the proof. For retakes, it will be the same login information as the initial photo.

Picture Day!

Tomorrow’s (10/26) Picture Day has been rescheduled to Friday, 10/29, due to the upcoming rain!

Clinton School Picture Days will be Tuesday, October 26th and Wednesday, October 27th. (Rain date is Friday!). Pictures will be taken outside during the school day, by class. Your child's teacher will let you know which day the class is being photographed.

After Picture Day you will receive more information about ordering your portraits online!

The Clinton Pumpkin Patch returns on October 23!

We will have live music, pumpkins, crafts, cider, donuts, and more.

We are currently taking pre-orders of Pumpkins & Flowering Kales. If you were planning to purchase, please review this weekend and order your pumpkins in advance. PRE-ORDER DEADLINE HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO OCTOBER 12th.

Week of Respect 2021

October 4 - 8 is the 2021 Week of Respect! Please see the schedule of daily activities below.

Monday 10/04 - “We Can’t Mask Respect” Students are encouraged to wear their favorite mask.

Tuesday 10/05 - “Turn your back on Bullying” Students are encouraged to wear their shirt inside out.

Wednesday 10/06 - “Let’s keep the PEACE” Students are encouraged to wear tie-dye or peace inspired clothing.

Thursday 10/07 - “Being a Friend is no Sweat” Students are encouraged to wear their favorite sweatshirt and/or sweats.

Friday 10/08 - “CLINTON Red” Students are encouraged to wear RED for School Spirit.

Clinton's Pumpkin Patch

We will have fall crafts for the kids, apple cider, music and pumpkins of course!

Volunteer for Lunch & Recess!

The school needs volunteers to assist during recess and lunchtimes for the first three weeks of school. Volunteers will be asked to help monitor students along with other school staff outside for recess, and in the new outdoor area for lunch. Please note that all volunteers must be vaccinated per district policy.

The Book Fair is Back in Person!

Stop by the Book Fair after school or on Saturday during any of the time periods listed. The Book Fair will be taking place outside in the Upper Parking Lot. Masks will be required and it will be weather permitting.

The Book Fair is one of the PTA's biggest fundraisers and relies on parent volunteers. With the location being outside this year, we will need volunteers to help with set up and takedown daily in order to be able to run the book fair that day.
