Virtual International Dinner

Clinton's beloved annual tradition, The International Dinner, is going virtual this year!

Join us this Thursday, June 3rd from 7:00 - 8:00 pm from your dinner table (or wherever!) so we can eat "together" safely and share stories about family food traditions. This event is hosted by our 5th Grade Cookbook Team, and they will share more details about the special cookbook project!

We would love your family's food traditions to be part of the international dinner! The student hosts would like to show a collection of short videos made by Clinton families:a story about how a recipe came into your family, a demonstration of a specific cooking skill, or whatever you'd like to share! Please submit a video to cookbook@clintonelementary.org by Tuesday to be included!

May 17th is Clinton night at BGR (Burgers Grilled Right) in South Orange! Take the night off from cooking and let BGR feed your family. Spring Trivia Night

Clinton PTA Trivia Night returns May 8th, and tickets are on sale now!

WHAT IT IS: Trivia Night is fun evening for parents where teams compete in 5 rounds of general trivia. This annual event is going virtual this year!

WHEN: Saturday, May 8 at 7:00 pm

LOCATION: ZOOM!

PRICE*: $35/person; $350 for a team of 10

In honor of teachers appreciation week we are offering teacher ticket for $20/screen.

Be A Part Of The Clinton Cookbook

A committee of 5th graders has partnered with the PTA to create a Clinton Cookbook, full of recipes from families in the school community. So gather your favorite family recipes, and if you have a story to share about what the recipe means to your family, even better!! Recipes are due by Wednesday, April 21st.

Dear Clinton families: 

Hopefully you had a chance to read the official statement published by our district this week regarding the horrific hate crimes committed against the Asian-American and Pacific Islander community.  

We wanted to echo those sentiments and express our solidarity with AAPI families at Clinton and across SOMA. It is critical and necessary that AAPI students feel safe in our school.  It is up to all of us—the PTA, our teachers, our parents, our kids, our administration—to make this a reality.

Please join Mrs. Latimer and learn what the library can do for you! She will discuss two exciting topics: our MackinVIA online book collection and coding. First, she will demonstrate the benefits of the MackinVIA collection and how it supports student learning. Next, she will explain the tools that she uses to teach computer science to students starting in Kindergarten, and provide resource families can use at home.
