Clinton PTA Trivia Night returns May 8th, and tickets are on sale now!

WHAT IT IS: Trivia Night is fun evening for parents where teams compete in 5 rounds of general trivia. This annual event is going virtual this year!

WHEN: Saturday, May 8 at 7:00 pm

LOCATION: ZOOM!

PRICE*: $35/person; $350 for a team of 10
*Early bird pricing! Save $10 per ticket if you register by 5/1

In honor of teachers appreciation week we are offering teacher ticket for $20/screen.

Be A Part Of The Clinton Cookbook

A committee of 5th graders has partnered with the PTA to create a Clinton Cookbook, full of recipes from families in the school community. So gather your favorite family recipes, and if you have a story to share about what the recipe means to your family, even better!! You can submit them here: https://tinyurl.com/clintoncookbook and feel free to send any questions to cookbook@clintonelementary.org.

Recipes are due by Wednesday, April 21st.

We Support The AAPI Community

Dear Clinton families: 

Hopefully you had a chance to read the official statement published by our district this week regarding the horrific hate crimes committed against the Asian-American and Pacific Islander community.  

We wanted to echo those sentiments and express our solidarity with AAPI families at Clinton and across SOMA. It is critical and necessary that AAPI students feel safe in our school.  It is up to all of us—the PTA, our teachers, our parents, our kids, our administration—to make this a reality.

The Clinton PTA Presents An Evening With Mrs. Latimer

Tuesday, March 2nd at 7:30 pm

Please join Mrs. Latimer and learn what the library can do for you! She will discuss two exciting topics: our MackinVIA online book collection and coding. First, she will demonstrate the benefits of the MackinVIA collection and how it supports student learning. Next, she will explain the tools that she uses to teach computer science to students starting in Kindergarten, and provide resource families can use at home.

Join us for our annual Read A Thon

from March 1st-April 9th!

On March 1st, caregivers will receive an email from Whooosreading.com with login information and instructions for your reader. Follow the set-up, and your reader can log their reading time, answer questions about what they’ve read and comment or like their classmates’ reading activity!

Clinton Community Meeting - February 24

Join us on Wednesday, February 24 for our next Clinton PTA Community Meeting! 

We will be joined by Dr. Gretel Pérez, Assistant Superintendent for Access & Equity, for an evening of Q&A around diversity, inclusion, and access.  

A native of Newark, Dr. Perez has over 20 years of experience in education.  She currently overseas the districts equity programs and initiatives. Her role is to ensure all k-12 students have the opportunities, resources, and tools they need to be successful. Join us on 2/24 to hear more about her vision and how we can better celebrate diversity in our Clinton community.
