Pumpkin Patch moved to Sunday 10/22

Join us Sunday, October 22nd between 2 pm - 4 pm for some good ol' fashioned autumn fun at Clinton. The event will feature crafts and games (including pumpkin painting!), hay bales, cider & donuts, live music, and more!

Volunteers help make all of our PTA a success, and we could use some helpers on the event day!

The Clinton Show is looking for parent directors and volunteers for this year's show. We are hosting a general information meeting to give an overview of the show and to learn how you can help out. Please consider donating some of your time to help the kids put on another great performance!

Join Us Thursday, September 28 For Skate Night!

Are you wheely excited for the school year with our new principal and vice principal?

Well, we are and if you know how the PTA...rolls....then join us as we welcome Mrs. Butler and Mrs. Wallace to Clinton Elementary with a skating party!

When Thursday, September 28th from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm

Where Branch Brook Park Roller Skating Center in Newark, NJ (7th Ave & Clifton Ave, Newark, NJ 07104). Parking is available on the premises.

Cost $15 per person* free skate rentals if needed
 

Please purchase tickets in advance and complete your waiver online to save time when you arrive!

*If you are interested in attending Skate Night and in need of financial assistance please reach out to us at ptaevents@clintonelementary.org. No one will be turned away due to cost!

School Supply Update!

This year, the Clinton PTA is launching a brand-new initiative to provide ALL classrooms with school supplies for the school year! That's right, there will be no need to shop for supplies over the summer and bring in materials on the first day of school. 

The goal is to buy all materials in bulk at discounted rates, which helps reduce the burden on families and teachers! The drive will also help provide paper goods and disposable items needed throughout the year. 

This program is only possible with donations from Clinton families, which is critical for the success of the effort for this year and beyond. The suggested amount is $35 per child, but you are welcome to donate as much or as little as you are able.

School Supply Details

We have worked with our fabulous Clinton teachers to develop lists of what will be needed this year. The exact supplies provided will vary by grade, but will include supplies such as: 

• Pencils
• Crayons
• Kid Scissors
• Folders
• Glue Sticks
• Dry Erase Markers 
• Post-It Notes
• Pencil Boxes
• Highlighters
• Erasers
• Tissues and Wipes
• Headphones (grades 2 and up)

Sponsor A Class!

There is also an opportunity for families or businesses to sponsor a class or even an entire grade. With over 25 classes at Clinton, there is a lot of ground to cover! 

$400- to sponsor 1/2 a class
$800- to sponsor a whole class
$3500- to sponsor a whole grade

All sponsors will be featured on our website. Stay tuned for more local business sponsor opportunities this year, including Clinton Student Theatre!

International Picnic! Moved to Tuesday June 13

Clinton's International Picnic Is This Tuesday - Rescheduled From Last Week! (Rain date 6/20)

We will have food from around the world, from local restaurants and parent contributors, which include specialties from (but definitely not limited to) Colombia, China, Jamaica, Italy, Greece, India, Peru, Ghana, UK, Albania, Philippines, Chile, Turkey and Ecuador! All food and drink items will be $2 or under. 

Parents can also bring their own food if they wish, and a picnic blanket and/or chairs.

We will also have a Japanese Zen Garden (aka calming tent) for those who would like to indulge in a calmer, more serene environment.  

Our DJ will blast a playlist of both international and popular dance songs. There will be limbo, Macarena and much more!

3rd & 4th Grade Author Visit

The Clinton PTA welcomes author/illustrator Jay Cooper on June 2!

Jay Cooper will be visiting the third and fourth grade students to discuss his newest book, The Last Comics on Earth.

Fans are sure to love this hilarious, action-packed, four-color graphic novel series by the creators of The Last Kids on Earth.
