Whooo's Reading is our annual Read-A-Thon! Stay tuned for details for the 2022 event.
A read-a-thon is like a jog-a-thon, except your child will be reading books instead of running laps, and earning pledges based on how much they read. Everything is tracked online, which makes inviting sponsors and logging reading much easier!
Here are two videos that explain how to participate in the Readathon:
Your child will receive a private online account where he/she will log reading. Parent and student instructions on how to use the website have been sent home. Your child will not be able to invite any sponsors without your authorization. Click here to view instructions on how to use your parent account.
IMPORTANT: Whooo's Reading works best if you use Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox or Safari.
Unlike other fundraisers where we keep only 40-60% of each donation, our school keeps 85% of each donation using this program. We are really excited to promote reading and help our school raise the necessary money for our ongoing needs.
Thank you so much for your support!
Our annual Readathon begins March 1st and runs through April 9th.

There will be NO Read-In this year. Instead:
March 1: WIG Out Reading Train! On Monday, kids will set their WIGs (Wildly Important Goals) about reading. Mrs. Connors and Mrs. Correa will lead the school in a Reading Train at 8:30am. All our students will be reading at the same time! You don’t need a wig to join the train, but wear ‘em if you’ve got ‘em!
March 2: The PTA will host a parent night with Mrs. Latimer so we can learn all about online reading options like MackinVIA!
April 5-8: Join us for “Celebrity” Bedtime Stories! Each night this week, we will have evening story time with teachers and parents! We’ll provide links for families to join in to listen to our celebrities read stories. Every night will have a theme!
AND! We’re thrilled to announce that this year, we’ll have a RAFFLE!
Thanks to our sponsor Mark Truscinski of Distinctive Properties Group at Hearth Realty, the PTA is able to raffle off 2 Kindles! One for grades K-2 and one for grades 3-5. All your child has to do to qualify is log 2 hours of reading over the next 6 weeks!
