Clinton Book Fair Fall 2020

This year our Fall Book Fair is going VIRTUAL! 

Here’s how it works:

• Shop October 12 - 25 using our Clinton School Book Fair link at Scholastic

Clinton Week of Respect

Ms. Tapia is happy to announce that CLINTON Week of Respect kicks off Monday, October 5th. There are many fun ways for Clinton kids to be involved in promoting kindness and respect this week.

Each day there is a new clothing theme for the kids to represent different ways of being kind and respectful. See the image below for more details!

Another fun way to get involved is to create a Walk Way Of Respect in your driveway or sidewalk - then upload a photo to the Week of Respect Padlet!

The "Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights Act (P.L.2010, c.122) requires that the week beginning with the first Monday in October of each year (October 5 - 9, 2020) be designated as the Week of Respect in New Jersey. To recognize the importance of social and emotional learning and character education, school districts, charter schools and renaissance school projects are required to observe the week by providing age-appropriate instruction focused on preventing/remediating harassment, intimidation, and/or bullying."

The Parenting Center Speaker Series

Clinton PTA Community Meeting

Join us for our Community Meeting! 

Each month the PTA will be hosting a monthly Community Meeting. This is an opportunity for you to connect with your Clinton school community in a more casual format. Join us this Wednesday for our first virtual gathering! We'll have a conversation with Principal Connors and our new Assistant Principal Zoila Correa. They will share their insights on what's next for Clinton School as we navigate virtual learning. The chat will include an open Q&A. Join the meeting here.

We Need Class Parents!

Help keep Clinton Strong! We are looking for families to represent each class as our Class Parents. We normally have two to three volunteers for each class. Especially during these virtual learning times, it is so important to keep everyone informed with important information from the district, school PTA, and teachers.

• Forward emails to class email lists from PTA.
• Forward emails to class email list for classroom teacher
• Help to be the touch point for families that may need to reach out to the teacher or PTA for support.
• Collect donations and purchase gifts for teacher for holidays and teacher appreciation week.
• (Once we are physically back at school) Help facilitate any classroom parties or events by creating sign up lists, like Signup Genius, to find volunteers and collect supplies if needed.

Chalk The Walk Week

It's Chalk The Walk Week!

Join the Clinton PTA this week and Chalk The Walk!  Families are encouraged to write/draw inspirational messages on their sidewalks. Then take a walk together and look for inspirational messages written by your Clinton Community neighbors! Post your photos in our Clinton Elementary School Families Facebook group!

Clinton Merch Pop-Up Shop

Want to join in on the Clinton Pride? Spirit Day’s around the corner (September 11th), so let’s gear up to kick off the school year! Visit our Pop Up Shop, hosted at Clinton School Front Lawn, from 1:30p-2:30p September 8-11th.

Don’t miss out, supplies are limited! Items include yard signs ($10,) Star T-shirts ($10) and magnets ($5).  Payment will be accepted via Venmo to @ClintonPTA

Balanced Kids Workshop

In our first Community Event offering of the year, the Clinton PTA is bringing "Back To School Workshop" to you, from Balanced Kids!

Balanced Kids is an organization who helps families stress less about parenting challenges so that they can find their balance and spend more time connected.

This PTA-sponsored webinar will help parents and caregivers: 

• Set a manageable routine that works for you and your family.
• Develop tools on how to get your kids on board.
• Plan for and address possible challenges before you lose your minds.
