Get Ready for the Annual Clinton Read-A-Thon!

Dear Clinton Families,

We are thrilled to announce that the Clinton Read-A-Thon kicks off on February 2! This month-long celebration of literacy is our favorite way to inspire students to read while supporting the programs that make our school great. From February 2 to March 8, 2026, students will log their daily reading minutes on the Readafun platform. As they record their progress, they earn points to customize their own digital "Owlvatar." 

Why the Clinton PTA Loves the Read-A-Thon:

We chose this fundraiser because it balances a love for literacy with the essential needs of our school. Here is how it makes a difference:

• Inclusive Participation: Every student in the school can participate and celebrate reading, regardless of fundraising.
• User-Friendly for Families: The platform is built for busy schedules. It takes just a few minutes to invite supporters and only a couple of minutes each day for students to log their reading minutes or answer quick comprehension questions.
• Positive Feedback for Students: Supporters can leave comments and suggest books, providing the positive feedback our young readers love.
• Student Engagement: Students earn points to customize their digital "Owlvatar" by logging reading minutes, answering reading questions, and cheering fellow Clinton classmates on their reading achievements.

• Promoting Literacy: With in-class activities throughout the month and a grand finale during Read Across America Week (March 2–6), this is our favorite way to get kids genuinely excited about books.

How to Participate:

• On February 2, every student will receive a unique login for readafun.com via a parent's email address, and a hard copy will be sent home via backpack. 
• *NOTE: The Readafun only allows one parent/guardian email address per student. Please check the parent/guardian emails associated with the student for the electronic login details. If you do not receive your child's login information by the evening of February 4, please email read-a-thon@clintonelementary.org.

Mark Your Calendar for the Clinton Read-In!

This year’s Read-In is on Wednesday, February 18, between 6:30 and 8:00 pm in the Cafeteria and Library. Wear your favorite pajamas and bring a book to the cafeteria and library! We’ll have snacks, special guest readers, and plenty of time to read with friends. Stay tuned for more information!
