Get Ready for the Annual Clinton Read-A-Thon!

Dear Clinton Families,

We’re excited to announce that the Clinton Read-A-Thon kicks off on February 2! This month-long celebration of literacy is one of our favorite traditions because it encourages students to read while supporting the programs that make our school thrive.

📅 February 2 – March 8, 2026

Students will log their daily reading minutes on the Readafun platform and earn points to customize their own digital Owlvatar along the way.

Why the Clinton PTA Loves the Read-A-Thon

This fundraiser combines a love of reading with meaningful support for our school:

• Inclusive & Accessible: Every student can participate, celebrate reading, and help their classroom win a grade-level prize; fundraising is optional but encouraged.
• Easy for Families: Invite sponsors in minutes; students log reading or answer quick questions in just a couple of minutes a day.
• Encouraging for Kids: Sponsors can leave comments and suggest books, and our students love these positive reinforcements to encourage their reading journey.
• Highly Engaging: Students earn Owlvatar points by reading, answering questions, and cheering on classmates.
• Supports our School: As a primary PTA fundraiser, donations from sponsors help fund assemblies, classroom supplies, and more. Learn how PTA funds are used here: tinyurl.com/WherePTADonationsGo. 
• Promotes Literacy: In-class activities all month long with a grand finale during Read Across America Week (March 2–6).

How to Participate

On February 2, each student will receive a unique Readafun login:

• Sent to one parent/guardian email (per Readafun’s system)
• A paper copy will also come home via backpack

Wear your favorite pajamas, bring a book, and join us for a cozy evening of reading! We’ll have snacks, special guest readers, and plenty of time to read with friends. More details coming soon.
